Digitrace, LTD. Established in 1997 in Wayland, Michigan, they maintain two manufacturing centers and specialize in CNC machining which includes very large machining capabilities.
From their in-house CADCAM department, they can take a customer CAD file and generate complete NC programs for CNC manufacturing. Due to the size of many machining projects, their machines run for extended and very long periods of time. They wanted a way to verify and simulate NC programs prior to machining to eliminate costly NC program errors.
During their search for NC simulation software solutions, they found Eureka G-code developed by Roboris, Srl. Eureka was able to create digital twin replicas of their in house CNC machines which include large CMS & Quintax machines. Once NC programs are completed using their CAM software, they run virtual simulations of G-code programs in Eureka prior to running live jobs on the machine.
Digitrace has virtually eliminated NC program errors since implementing Eureka G-code. Phil Hilaski, in house CADCAM Programmer said: “we do not run a 5-axis CNC project without first simulating in Eureka”.
