Roboris is officially a new member of the European Factories of the Future Research Association
The European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) is a non-profit, industry-driven association that fosters the development of the latest innovations in manufacturing technology across the European continent. EFFRA is the voice of Europe’s manufacturing community, officially representing the private side of the Made in Europe Partnership with the European Commission.
Manufacturing is of key importance for Europe, employing 29.4 million persons in 2020 and being the largest contributor to non-financial business economy value added, accounting for more than one quarter of the total (29 %).
EFFRA offers a unique convergence point between industry and academia that centers manufacturing research and innovation, and through the community’s input EFFRA helps the European Commission draft relevant calls for future projects.
Over the past years, Roboris has been continuously investing in R&D to experiment with new ideas and technologies, and has been participating actively in numbers of government-funded projects and contributed in the fields of:
Digital twins of CNC machine tools
Simulation of subtractive and additive processes
